What we’re about
Chicago Dads Group is a diverse community of fathers who take an active role in our children’s lives. We seek to create an online meetup group to bring fathers together in person. We'll meet several times per week, with our kids, at parks, playgrounds, museums, nature centers, and parent-and-me classes across the Chicago-land area, both city and suburbs. We'll also organize parenting workshops and dads-nights-out to give our members an opportunity to socialize, learn, and support each other as we navigate parenthood. There are not enough resources, social groups, or services for dads. This is a destination for active dads! A diverse group with dads of all stripes: Stay At Home Dads, Dads with flexible schedules, work from home dads, freelance dads, working dads, and involved fathers in and around the Chicago-land area to socialize and interact with other guys who enjoy spending quality time with their children.
Please note: this group is strictly for Dads, we understand sometimes wives will join for their significant others but we encourage them to join on their own accord. We want this group to be a comfortable place for Dads to learn and talk about anything dad related.

Everyone including guests must check-in prior to 1:15PM and participate in our GROUP PHOTO organized by our Event Hosts. We ask every family to upload 3-4 photo's to our meetup site before the event is over, of your family enjoying the event so we can share with our sponsor as a thank you for this opportunity. Parking & concessions are your responsibility.
For those of you on social media, we also ask that you share your family photos on your personal accounts like Facebook taging our "Chicago Dads Group" and using hashtag #CITYDADS so we can share, like and comment, which will help broaden our social media reach in an effort to expand our audience and ultimately get more members to join our meetup group. By doing so will also help us get more fun sponsored event opportunities.
Most importantly, we ask that ALL our members who attend our sponsored advance movie screenings, to WEAR their BLUE Chicago Dads Group shirt to the meetup, which does a few things; helps our members be more clearly recognized and the sponsor can tell which group we are with, plus it looks amazing in our group photo and member engagement photos that we know our sponsors really likes seeing too. If you don't have your own Chicago Dads Group shirt, you can buy it online from our Amazon store for $20. We feel this is a small ask that builds member engagement and appreciation for our sponsored opportunities. It’s a good thing to do.
ONLY!!! RSVP (+Guests) if you are 100% committed to going, checking in on-time and fully participate as noted above, since we don't want any seats to be empty. If you are a no-show, than you may loose the privilege to be included with any future advance screenings. Once you RSVP, no changes can be made, your crew must attend -- no exceptions!

- Family Outing @ Feed My Starving Children (Schaumburg)Feed My Starving Children--Schaumburg, IL, Schaumburg, IL
We have decided to partner up with one of our favorite charities and organize a volunteer opportunity for the family to join us @ Feed My Starving Children (http://www.fmsc.org), by packing meals that will be shipped all over the world to feed starving and malnourished children!
Currently, we have reserved 30 spots for our group to join us at the Schaumburg location of Feed My Starving Children for a meal packing session that will promptly begin at 430pm to check-in, place valualbles in the locker and take a seat for instructions from FMSC.
This meetup is a family outing so you can bring the entire family or come alone like Brian and Devin will be doing. Afterwards, we are thinking to go out to dinner or a fun activity D&B, Gameworks or something else in the area.
FYI ~ Children over the age of 5 years old is allowed in with an adult, but I would recommend checking the website for how it works for bringing younger children with since it's been many years since my kids were that age.
These volunter sessions always turns out to be meaningful experiences for all involved! Please take this opportunity to give back with other dads this holiday season... and join us in person as we volunter to help pack over 13,000 meals along with the help of another 50 other caring volunteers within our community
RSVP (+family) if you can join us here!
