Learn about the treatment outcomes and legal considerations of psilocybin therapy.
Centered around Jeanette Small's recently published book In Lucid Color - Witnessing Psilocybin Journeys, the author will detail her experiences serving as a licensed psilocybin facilitator for clients of various backgrounds who seek help for a wide range of presenting issues. Therapeutic opportunities and limitations, pragmatic considerations for psychedelic treatments, observed treatment outcomes, and considerations around legal status and the interactions of overlapping, but distinct systems such as healthcare insurance, FDA, local jurisdictions and federal regulations, and taxation will be discussed. Audience questions will be welcomed.
Jeanette Small is one of the first licensed psilocybin facilitators in Oregon and has been providing services in her own licensed service center, Lucid Cradle, in Bend, OR since August 2023. Her education (MA & PhD in Clinical Psychology with emphasis on Somatic Psychology) and her clinical experience working with families in crisis, adolescents in foster care, and individuals struggling with addiction, post-traumatic stress and depression, have informed Jeanette's approach to service provision utilizing a psychedelic substance to access therapeutic opportunities for often treatment-resistant clients and those who seek personal growth without a psychiatric diagnosis. Additionally, her long-standing career as a visual artist meaningfully impacts her perspective on the human condition and mental health.
