Welcome to CenTexSUP! We are a group of Stand Up Paddle board enthusiasts in and around Central Texas and are based in Austin, TX.
If you're looking for a group to get out and paddle with, resources, advice or anything else SUP related then you've found the place. We are constantly out on the water enjoying all the lakes and rivers of Central Texas and occasionally the waves down at the coast. We try to get together as an organized group at least a couple of times a month. We have paddles year round so check back often.

Join the CenTex SUP Crew and our special guest, John Meskauskas, from Flying Fish Board Co. for Race Skills, Board Demos, and a Batty Golden Hour Social Paddle!!
Don't miss your chance to try one of the fastest boards on the water! John from the Flying Fish Board Co. will be in Austin for a short time and he has graciously offered to bring some boards for us to try!
Check out Flying Fish HereEveryone is welcome - whether you're a seasoned SUP Racer or just thinking about racing. If you don't have a board, now is the perfect time to try one!
We will meet at the Festival Beach Boat Ramp at 6:00 and everyone can sign up to reserve a 15-minute block of time to try out a board. There will be a few different sizes of boards and you can sign up for a max of 3 trials.
*First Come First Reserved, so don't be late!*Be sure to have your PFD!
Parking is available in the small lot or along the side streets. Bring your own board if you'd like to participate in the Golden Hour Social Paddle at the end! A few lucky people will get to paddle a Flying Fish Board for the Batty Golden Hour Social Paddle.
Schedule:
6:00 - 6:15 Unloading and sign-ups
6:15 - 6:30 - Welcome - Intro to John and his company,
6:30 - 7:30 - Demo Time! Try a few boards! Short Sprint and Pivot Practice
7:30 - 7:40 - Time to get situated for Social Paddle (coolers, lights, etc)
7:40 - 9:00ish - Paddle to see the BATS and enjoy Golden Hour! This is a 3-mile round-trip paddle - you will need a LIGHT for your board. The end time depends on when the bats come out. :0)**Bring snacks and beverages if you are so inclined. I'm sure you'll be hungry after such an awesome night on the water! Sunset is about 8:11 pm.
