What we’re about
The ski and sports club for active outdoor enthusiasts 50+ years old!
Cascade Prime Timers is a non-profit club of active adults fifty years of age and over who enjoy the camaraderie of downhill skiing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, biking and many other activities with friends who share a spirit of adventure. We recognize and promote the benefits of recreational activities and mental stimulation for a healthy and enjoyable life style while enjoying the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, which is characterized by an abundance of mountain ranges, including the Coast Mountains, the Cascades Range, and the Blue Mountains . Most of the National Forests in the region blanket these mountains, providing a stunning backdrop for recreational outdoor activities. For places within a day-travel range, we have regularly scheduled activities that meet once a week. For locations a little farther afield, we organize overnight trips that allow us to enjoy the activities we love in other beautiful places.

Cascade Prime Timers is run totally by volunteers. We have no office or telephone. Club volunteers serve on our Board of Directors and lead our designated weekly, monthly and multiday activities/trips. On the last Monday of January, February, March, June, September and October, there is a social evening with a guest speaker, hors d'oeuvres, and no-host bar where we catch up with each other and keep up to date with current club news. The club publishes an informative newsletter 6 times a year. Prospective members are always welcome at one of our socials or, by invitation, to one of our activities to see and experience us in action.
Membership in Cascade Prime Timers (CPT) additionally includes membership in the Far West Ski Association and The Northwest Ski Club Council, both of which run a variety of winter and summer programs in which our members are welcome to participate.
