What we’re about
A big hello to "Social Singles" where we will advertise hosted events, a chance for singles to get together in a relaxed environment and enjoy meeting new people.
The events are not matchmaking or speed dating events just bringing single people together. Our events include evening drinks, away days, festivals, meals or even trying a new activity/skill. Keep an eye on our App.
The age of the individuals attending is mixed, but with a minimum age of 18+.
Our events are in conjunction with Bristol (or Cardiff) Party People, these events aren't just for singles. We ask you respect the friendly nature of the group and if you mutually connect with a single person you are respectful of the group as a whole.
If you’re meeting someone for the first time one on one, we strongly urge this is in a public venue similar to one's we use for our events. Social Singles are not responsible for anything other than the organisation and welcoming of members at the events. It is also your responsibility for own safe arrival and departure when coming to our events.
We ask that you don't direct message any group member via our app or any other social media site unless mutually agreed. If at one of our nights you feel a little nervous about introductions we can help with that, or after an event please direct message me "Angelina" and I can be an intermediary to make post event introductions.
These events are run by volunteer hosts so we do not do any background checks on individuals joining our group. Key principles of all events are that they're inclusive, fun and safe.
Some of our venue's provide special offers on the drinks where possible, but this is at their discretion and can't be possible at all events.
This is a new style of group so it may evolve a little over the coming months. Watch this space.
