The Born Global Meetup Leipzig is an informal networking event where international students, graduates, researchers and all the international community in Leipzig gather to discuss their business ideas and any topic related to launching a business or becoming a freelancer in Germany.
This casual setting fosters exchange, encourages collaboration, and provides a platform for aspiring entrepreneurs to receive feedback, solve doubts, and gain insights.
These events are organised by start-up initiative SMILE at Leipzig University.

Deborah Hey, an American Ex Pat and serial entrepreneur who has lived in Germany for the last 8 years. She has founded over 10 companies and been involved as a Mentor or Partner in dozens of others.Her life is filled with extreme highs and the lowest of lows, and she would not have it any other way, because that is where learning really happens. Being on the edge of success or failure is part of the journey and Deb will share the stories from her journey with you.
It is only when we are pushed to our limits that we discover who we really are and how strong we can be. Knowing what we value and what we are capable of is the reward for overcoming all of these challenges.
