WordPress is the Internet's most popular and fastest growing content management system (CMS) currently powering over 39% of the 10 ten million websites currently online today. It is written and maintained almost entirely by volunteers around the world.

Bergen County WordPress Meetup is for anyone who is interested in learning or contributing to WordPress. We're a group of local WordPress developers, designers, and publishers who get together to share our knowledge and experience, and to meet other WordPress users in the area. This WordPress Meetup is open to all who love WordPress --- join us! So, whether you are curious, just starting out in WordPress, or are a professional who uses it daily, this meetup is for you.

We meet on the second Wednesday of the month. Our meetups consist of networking, flash talks, keynote presentations, show and tell, help desk and workshops. How can this meetup help you?
• It is a great place to meet other people, like you, who are interested in learning how to use WordPress to improve their organization or personal goals.
• Help others by sharing what you have learned or accomplished with Help by contributing to and improving the WordPress community.
• It’s a welcoming place where we are committed to fostering an accepting environment.
• A great place to share your knowledge and experience with other members
• You may contribute to the improvement of the WordPress community.
• For businesses owners, entrepreneurs, writers, bloggers, marketers, students and others looking to communicate better through their WordPress-powered web sites.
Our meetups consist of one of the following formats:
• Social and Networking. Have some refreshments and get to meet other WordPress enthusiasts.
• Presentations, full-length and lighting – Keynotes are 30 minutes with a 10min Q&A. Lightning talks are 10 minutes with a 5 minute Q & A.
• Show and Tell. Share your current project with the group and get feedback
• Help Desk. Have a problem or question about your site? Connect with an expert.
• Workshops – Come learn how to use WordPress and accomplish tasks with it .Come join us to learn and share!
Note: This is an official WordPress Meetup whose dues are paid for by the WordPress Community Foundation. Therefore, we cannot charge an entry fee to this Meetup. It will always be free.
