Dave Brooks (dead sheep) Memorial Golf Tournament

Hey everyone,
We're organizing a memorial golf tournament for our wonderful friend, Dave Brooks, who we sadly lost on June 14, 2024.

Dave loved golf, and he especially loved the friendly wagers that went along with it! So, to celebrate his memory, we're planning a round with some of the fun gambling games he enjoyed playing with us.

We'll be booking Green Tee Golf Course for June 14th at 11 am . We only have room for 32 players. The deadline to sign up is June 5th

The cost is $10 plus a $2 Meetup fee.

Here's a breakdown of the $10 $1 goes to PayPal processing, and $9 goes into the pot for our gambling games.

Here's how the games will work:

• Front Nine (Team Play): We'll play in teams of two, switching partners every 3 holes so everyone gets a chance to play with everyone else. The team with the lowest total score for each hole wins that hole. Ties are a push. If a tie carries over after 3 holes, the money ($6) will be split between the two competitors. If a team wins after just two holes, we'll still play the third hole, but it won't affect the scoring.
• Back Nine (Individual Play): We'll switch to individual competition, using the same rules as the team play. You'll compete against a different person every 3 holes. Don't worry if this sounds a little confusing – just bring your scorecard to the clubhouse after the round and we'll easily figure out the winners together.

After the round, we'll gather at the clubhouse /patio to award the winnings, share some stories, and raise a glass to Dave. It'll be a great opportunity to remember him and the good times we shared.
