About us
The groups purpose is to increase gender diversity in the cloud technology space. Empowered by the new Amazon Leadership Principle “Success and Scale Bring Broad Responsibility” the community aims to build a safe space for women and under-represented groups to share knowledge, acquire new skills, network and seek support.
This community will run monthly events that will be suggested by the community members. We will have hands on training events, networking events, panel events, and discussions on whatever is important to the people that come to the events.
We want every AWS Cloud Women Manchester event to offer a positive and safe space for all our attendees.
We need diverse teams for successful organisations and we know that diverse representation at our events ultimately creates a stronger community. Be respectful of the people and the views around you.

We’re buzzing to announce that AWS Cloud Women Manchester is back, and we are continuing our brand new 2026 event series in the best way we know how: with brilliant people, big conversations, and a whole lot of community spirit. We are pleased to announce this event is hosted and sponsored by AWS.
We're opening up opportunities for members to join the organising team and to show just what's possible, this event will be hosted by Mudiwa and Kim who are both from AWS.
What’s the evening all about?
One talk and one hands-on/interactive activity exploring how modern and highly accessible AI tools can draw insights from multiple sources and strengthen your profile and career trajectory.
Mudiwa will talk about her own journey at Amazon and AWS, and share approaches, techniques and tools that not only helped her fast-track her career transition, but are still useful for her as she continues to deliver value in her current role.Afterwards, attendees will have an opportunity to see and/or use an AI tool that requires no deep technical expertise, but can be useful in boosting productivity and providing career growth insights when given the right context.
Bring your laptop along if you would like to experiment hands-on. All skill levels are welcome :)
