The official Austin Drone Meetup is made by pilots, for pilots.
We like flying robots.
Austin Drone Meetup is a community meant for anyone interested in flying drones— not just aerial photography and hard regulation.
Our organizers hold at least one FAA license or certification; some hold more than one.
That does not mean we are here to bellow for hours on end about what you can or cannot do with a drone! Thats what YouTube is for! (We can help with specific Part 107 scenarios or the legality of use cases by request).

Austin Drone Meetup is under new management.
Future events for the official meetup group are being redesigned and tailored to provide the best experience for everyone.
Over the coming weeks we will remove inactive or unsupportive members and work towards a safer community with more active engagement from licensed, verified, insured pilots who know Part 107 regulation and can help you learn how to safely fly drones for fun and profit.
