What we’re about
We offer free English conversation classes every week in a warm and friendly environment. This will help you build your confidence and improve your English speaking ability. Classes are available for Pre-beginners to Upper Intermediates in small conversation groups.
We are a group of people with a desire to reach out to immigrants and to help newcomers settle into life in beautiful Aotearoa and to gain a deeper understanding of New Zealand culture and lifestyle. Each week we have a different topic to discuss which is always interesting and engaging. We periodically offer workshops, social events and opportunities to connect with others, so it's a great place to meet new friends and find a place to belong. There are also opportunities to connect with our wider church family if you wish.
We are completely free, and there is no placement test required. Our teachers and small group leaders are all fluent English speakers. We meet at church, but we welcome everyone, no matter what your background is.
We follow the NZ school terms which means no classes during the school holidays.
We will begin for the year in Feb 2025. Please message us directly if you wish to attend.
