The Astoria Park Recreational Soccer League hosts soccer games year-round in an outdoor, turf soccer field with lights at Astoria Park in Queens, New York. The leagues organizes monthly tournaments were 6 teams sign up to play in a 7v7 format from 8-10pm on weekdays. The large field accommodates up to 3 games running simultaneously. Teams play 2 one-hour games weekly, culminating in semi-final and final games.
Participants are locals who wants to play a competitive intermediate game, although a non-aggressive game. We do not allow tackles, shirt pulling, or shoulder/body pushing. Ideal for the working professional who gets off work late and wants to come play for fun and to get a workout. Everyone is here to have a good time after a long day of work.

CURRENTLY HIRING GAME REFEREES / GAME HOSTS
Looking for Soccer Referees to work weekday evenings at Astoria Park in Queens. As a Referee, you'll be on the front lines, making sure our games run smoothly and players have fun. Immediate start and target pay at $15/hour.
Spring 2025 Weekly Shifts:
• Tuesdays: 7:15pm - 10:15pm (3 hours)
• Fridays: 6:30pm - 10:30pm (4 hours)
Main Responsibilities:
• Oversee Game Play: Work one or more shifts per week to ensure games start/end on time, enforce rules, and maintain a fun atmosphere. Set up and break down equipment as needed.
• Manage Equipment Inventory: Monitor equipment inventory and promptly notify the league organizer when replenishment is needed.
• Customer Service: Deliver a fun, fair, and positive experience for all players, and share feedback to help improve the league.
• Be a Brand Ambassador: Represent the league brand with energy and excitement, getting players pumped about our community.
• Collaborate and Improve: Work closely with the league organizer to enhance the overall experience for players.
What We're Looking For:
• 18+ years old
• Consistent availability to work one or more weeknights each week
• Passionate about sports, with solid knowledge of the rules
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Fun, outgoing, and social personality
