First of all you don't need an e-bike to ride with us, Let me say that again, YOU DON'T NEED AN EBIKE TO RIDE WITH US. E-bikes are provided for free through this group for any attendees of our meet-ups. Of course if you have your own e-bike, by all means please bring it along for the ride! However if you don't have an e-bike we will provide one for you during our meet-ups and excursions. By partnering with Asheville Custom E-Bikes we are able to provide this amazing opportunity for free. There is a suggested donation of $20.00, however this is NOT required!
Our goal is to promote the adoption and awareness of electric bikes as a lifestyle, as transportation, exercise and entertainment. All while brining the greater Asheville community together to explore the beauty and adventure that's literally right outside our front door!
We are e-bike enthusiasts who enjoy meeting new people and riding and want to combine these two passions to form an e-bike riding club. Whether you're looking for food, breweries, greenways, the Blue Ridge Parkway, off the beaten path, or a night in downtown, we've got you covered.
The goal of this group is to bring together local e-bike riders in the greater Asheville area to network, make friends, and go on e-bike adventures together!
If you want to meet new people in your area while also having fun riding and participating in various activities, this group is for you! We are a new group, and we will begin with monthly/biweekly meet-ups. This will most likely transition to weekly meet-ups starting next spring (2023).
We have some fantastic greenway paths right here in Asheville. Did you know this area has eight greenways? Plenty of easy riding, well-kept trails, and many of them are close to wonderful lunch spots! Do you have a favorite spot to ride? We want to know and enjoy your favorite trail with you. With everything Asheville has to offer in terms of outdoor beauty, food, and entertainment, I am confident we will have no trouble coming up with some fun things for everyone to participate in.
Some riding activities will be as easy as getting together and riding a greenway for an hour or two. Others will be day trips to breweries, where we will bike, eat, and drink. Consider it a free self-guided e-bike excursion with friends. Some of us may have kids or pets, did you know you can get a bike trailer and bring your pets and kids too? Of course only if you want too, Ha! My point being is that we have many options even with family meet ups and animal lover meet-ups as well.
I've lived in this region for nearly 30 years, and while it has changed dramatically, one thing has stayed constant: there is always something fun to do in Asheville, North Carolina. We pride ourselves in being different (some might say Weird), we take pride in our beautiful and diverse community, and we take pride in finding exciting adventures that does not have a big impact in our environment.
By collaborating with Asheville Custom E-bikes, we will be able to draw from a larger pool of local e-bike riders, provide e-bikes for free to the community we love, AND get their expertise and knowledge with everything e-bike related.
