What we’re about
This is a fun, sociable and easy going MeetUp for creative people to get to know other like-minded right-brainers. Unlike most of the other arty groups, it doesn't necessarily involve doodling over a drink or sketching a life drawing (although it could, if the mood takes us!).
It's a place for creatives such as... Graphic designers, photographers, illustrators, painters, artists, typographers, potters, sculptures, sugar crafters and cake decorators or any other creative types. Whether you work for a studio, freelance, work from home, run an etsy, notonthehighstreet or folksy shop, are still studying or just have a creative hobby, if you have a passion for all things Art & Design, then join ACE.
Fed-up with blank looks from not arty friends...we hope ACE will connect people on the same wavelength, who get it when you say things like "golden ratio" or "that kerning's giving me a migraine" people that know "negative space" is a good thing:)
MeetUps will happen sporadically, depending on what ideas I have for forthcoming events. At first MeetUps will just involve a few social drinks.
If anyone has an event or idea that they think the group would like, please suggest it - the more ideas the merrier!
