Ai WeiWei is at SAM!

Ai WeiWei is having his first US major exhibition in over a decade at the Seattle Art Museum, and we need to see it! I know that Ai is a political activist but I wondered, why all the fuss? SAM has been promoting this exhibition for months. Then I looked up some of his art here:

All I can say is "WOW" His work is SO INTERESTING and he has a HUGE range of work from pottery to architecture to sculpture. The tickets are timed and mine is at 12:20pm which gives us time to have introductions before viewing the exhibit. My Senior ticket was $24.99 but because I have a membership to SAM, it was free. Memberships range from $75 for an individual senior membership to $119 for a dual adult membership. There are also multiple discounts on memberships here:

The museum and surrounding parking will be busy so I suggest taking the Light Rail and getting off at the "Symphony" station which is 1.5 blocks from SAM. We will have lunch at The Market in the lower level of the museum around 2:30pm. I WOULD SUGGEST GOING ON THE SAM SITE AND PURCHASING YOUR TICKET AHEAD OF TIME (AND NOT THE DAY BEFORE) AS YOU MAY NOT BE ABLE TO PURCHASE A TICKET THAT DAY AT THE 12:20pm time.
