4 GREAT EXHIBITIONS: OPENING @ BWAC THIS SATURDAY

Details
Animalia
A national juried exhibition, Animalia celebrates artists’ long fascination with depicting animals in their work. It is a celebration of this connection and relationship, of humans with animals of all kinds -- real or imagined -- represented here in a wide variety of media.
Threaded Visions: Fashion In Art
Throughout history, artists have depicted fashion in their work, immortalizing trends and styles that tell stories of class, power, and innovation. Simultaneously, fashion designers have drawn inspiration from art, incorporating techniques, textures, and narratives from paintings, sculptures, and architecture into their creations. Threaded Visions, a national juried exhibition, presents a dialogue between these two worlds**.**
Order/Chaos
Order and chaos are often considered opposites, but they are actually interconnected and can coexist. How do artists deal with order and chaos in their work? This exhibition examines these relationships and the variety of ways artists interpret them**.**
Dreamscapes: Reimagining What Was Left Behind
A solo exhibition by Sergei Saakian, where the artist’s landscapes transcend traditional boundaries, offering a reimagined world where memory and history intertwine. These works explore the shifting terrains shaped by migration, conflict, and the passage of time, inviting viewers to contemplate the hidden stories within the land.
These exhibitions will be on view from Saturday, April 26 to Sunday, May 18, 2025. BWAC is open weekends from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m.
