What we’re about

This is a group for people of all ages and skill/experience levels who want to play a friendly and non-competitive pickup frisbee game. (The game we play is a hybrid of traditional ultimate frisbee and hotbox.) Just FYI for those who might be familiar with the rules for traditional/competitive ultimate frisbee or hotbox, we modify the game in several ways to make it more welcoming for newer players. Three of the biggest modifications we make are:
• We don't use a stall count
• We play on a shorter field
• We use goal boxes instead of end zones

If you are looking for some exercise and a place to learn to throw and catch a frisbee in a relaxed and relatively non-competitive setting, this is it. We meet every Sunday afternoon just south of Arrigo Park. The park is one block north of Taylor and one block west of Racine, but we actually meet in the unused lot just south of Arrigo Park, not in the park proper. We show up for warmup throws at 1:00pm and start playing around 1:30.

There is no set ending time; we play until we decide not to play anymore, usually about two hours. During the hotter months we usually go for Italian ice at Mario's on Taylor Street after the game.
