Join us for an Artist Walk+Talk and Q+A about the Life Or Something Like It exhibition with Colombian Visual Artist Hermes Berrío on Thursday, April 24th from 6:30-7:30 pm.
Life or Something Like It explores the fluid boundaries between reality and perception, memory and reinvention. Berrío’s work brings forth an expansive exploration of identity and transformation, elevating everyday moments into monumental narratives. Through painting and mixed media, he blends the mundane with the extraordinary, inviting viewers to reconsider how personal history, cultural symbolism, and imagination intersect. Berrío draws from street culture, social media symbolism, and personal history to examine the ways we construct identity through memory and material culture. Life or Something Like It is an invitation to reflect on the transient nature of experience, how we navigate, adapt, and transform the symbols that shape our lives.

We have a full schedule of full-day camps for ages 5.5-12, half day Preschool cultural camps for ages 3-5, and Intensive Art workshops for teens ages 13-18. Camps are taught by professional art educators and teaching artists who lead young artists through themed projects inspired by culture, history, and mediums. Campers will discover the work of renowned artists, experiment with many different materials, and try new techniques to make their masterpieces. Browse below to check out all of our sessions.
