NEW INSTRUCTIONS FOR JOINING SPADES AND OH HELL ONLINE

1. This is an online gathering, using CardzMania for card play (https://cardzmania.com) and Zoom for conversation (link in the sidebar).
2. You can practice on the CardzMania platform, either against robots or by joining a public game. When it comes time to join one of our tables, we'll communicate how to find it via the Zoom.
3. Start time is 8 pm. Please inform the group if you'll be late, as we usually will not wait around.
4. Please show up if you sign up, as the number of players is integral to which game(s) we play on a given night.

NOTES:

• Zoom can run on any platform with a microphone. The Zoom link is on the meeting page once you register for the event. It's best to have CardzMania & Zoom running on different devices (or both sharing your laptop/desktop screen), but if you use one mobile device, you'll only miss the video part.
• We used to use an app called Spades+, which was difficult to set up, had very annoying ads, cost too much to get rid of the ads, and only ran on mobile devices.
• CardzMania, our new gameplay platform, is free (with no ads) for the first while; you will receive several thousand free tokens when you register. After the free tokens are gone, you can buy 2000 for $1, 8000 for $2. Each game costs 50 tokens, and you can also win free tokens daily, usually 50, sometimes none, but sometimes more.
