What we’re about

Welcome Arizona investors! As an experienced investor, I was looking for a local group to meet with like-minded people who also are passionate about investing in stocks, options and futures. Unfortunately, all I could find was virtual webinar style groups that were just a front to sell something.

This group will be a way for people of all experience levels and portfolio sizes to network and discuss ideas, strategies, and anecdotes with fellow investors! Even if you are brand new to investing but interested to learn, you are welcome! This group will not tolerate egos. We all have the same goal of becoming more successful and knowledgeable investors regardless of where we are currently.

The group offers a combination of some fun, social events as well as some educational meetups about specific investment topics and strategies. We also do some live trading / educational Meetups on Zoom.

In this Zoom meetup, James will be presenting on Synthetic Stock Using Options. We will discuss several ways to create synthetic shares using options and the benefits and drawbacks of synthetic stock. Synthetic stock strategies are great to know for all types of investors and has use in individual or retirement accounts.

Going forward, I've decided to start charging a small fee for Zoom meetups. There are a few reasons for this decision. Firstly, this will filter out any random people from jumping on the meeting and trolling or exhibiting inappropriate behavior. Secondly, Meetup keeps raising their fees for organizers and now it costs about $400/yr to run a group. I don't want to charge member dues or anything like that. However, I feel that a lot of work goes into these Zoom presentations and there's a lot of value to be had for a small fee.

Let's do another fun brunch event. OEB is a great breakfast spot. They are from Canada and they have very interesting menu items - particularly their poutine breakfast bowls.

They are offering a COMPLIMENTARY specialty coffee plus a gift card to use on your next visit. Please try to order some food if you come as the restaurant is being very accommodating to our group. And feel free to bring a guest.
