What we’re about
A book club for anyone who would like to read some of the classics of 20th century North American literature. Over the course of one year we will work back from modern classics such as Lionel Shriver's 'We Need To Talk About Kevin' (2003), via the greats of Hemingway, Nabokov, Hunter S Thomas, Truman Capote, Kurt Vonnegut, Zora Neale Hurston, James Baldwin, Sandra Cisneros, William Faulkner and Willa Cather, as well as a few plays here and there.
The aim will be to read one book per month, though there will be suggestions for those who want to read more! We will meet for dinner and discussions.
