What we’re about
MEETUP VISION:
Agile Charleston Meetup exists to foster collaboration and maximize learning opportunities in an effort to grow a strong base of Agile practitioners in Charleston and surrounding communities.
MEETUP MISSION:
How we achieve our vision is evolving from monthly, speaker-led sessions (often remotely-hosted) to self-organized, member-directed learning via in-person events. We are excited to introduce one facet of member-directed learning: the Agile Charleston Book Club! Other opportunities for member-directed learning will be forthcoming as we take an agile approach to reinventing our group through frequent inspection and adaptation.
WHO WE ARE:
We are a group of local professionals who fulfill a variety of roles, including but not limited to agile coaches, consultants, scrum masters, product managers, product owners, agile team members, and managers, leaders, and executives. We are an inclusive, friendly, inquisitive group who are passionate about agility and Lean approaches for creating and sustaining products, operations, and organizations. Our three-person steering committee plans and schedules the book club meetups, coordinates venue logistics, facilitates group decisions for which books to read, and solicits volunteers to guide discussions.
As we are an organization sponsored by the Agile Alliance, all Meetups and members are pursuant to the Agile Alliance Code of Conduct (https://www.agilealliance.org/the-alliance/code_of_conduct/): Be kind to others. Behave Professionally.
