Wichita Mountains Camping Trip

Details
**Itinerary: for Friday night, we'll meet at Doris Campsite Site No. 4 in Loop A for a camp fire and some good ol' camaraderie.
For Saturday, we'll meet at the Doris Campground Site 4 at 9:00 a.m. From there, we'll hike the Little Baldy Trail, and then we'll drive over and hike the Elm Mountain Trail. We'll take a break at that point and explore the Wichita Mountains Visitors Center, the Lake Jed Johnson Dam Observation Overlook, the Holy City and the Prairie Dog Town. Next, we'll drive over to hike the Kite Trail and finish with the Narrows Trail. After hiking, we'll drive to the top of Mt. Scott and watch the sunset. After Mt. Scott, we'll drive to Medicine Park, the nearest town, and have dinner at the Healthy Hippie Cafe.
We'll end the night with a campfire.
For Sunday, we'll once again meet at Doris Campground Site 4 at 9:00 a.m. We'll just knock out the rest of the hikes from there. First, we'll hike the north portion of the Charon's Gardens Trail. Next, we'll hike the southern portion of the Charon's Gardens Trail. Finally, we'll hike through the Parallel Forest, and then we'll say our goodbyes and head home.
We'll hike seven miles on both Saturday and Sunday, and some of the trails will be strenuous with considerable elevation gain, so please bear that in mind.**
I think it's about time we set out on a camping trip to the beautiful Wichita Mountains near Lawton, Oklahoma. I have reserved tent site 4 in loop A of the Doris Campground. Below is the link to reserve your campsite. I recommend reserving anything but the walk-in sites as those will require you to carry your gear a good distance before you even get to the campsite.
