Orientation to Living Philosophy Course #2. Invitation to a School of Philosophy
New Acropolis Mumbai, 4th Floor New Kamani Chambers, Adi Marzban Path, Ballard Estate, Fort, Mumbai, INThis event is an orientation to learn more about our 16 week introductory course to Philosophy as a Way of Life.
This practical philosophy course acts as an introduction and foundation towards living life with meaning and awareness. It brings together the thoughts of the most prominent philosophers of the East and West especially those who left deep marks on humanity. This comparative study of philosophies does not belong to a single thinker or to any particular school it is our universal human heritage. We seek to promote philosophy as a way of life for building new and better human beings for a new and better world.

Join New Acropolis in celebrating Arts Day 2026!
The evening which is dedicated to the intersection between Philosophy, Science and Arts will explore how numbers shape the world. From the symmetry of flowers, seashells, and galaxies, to the rhythmic patterns of Music, numbers can reveal the hidden harmony of nature.
This special theme highlights the fascination of how balance, rhythm, proportion, and patterns create beauty in both the natural world and human expression. Through discussions and artistic performances we will uncover the universal language of numbers.This event is part of a global celebration of the Day of the Arts by New Acropolis, in over 50 countries.

Session 1: The Beauty of Numbers in Nature
Zarina Screwvala (Philosopher and Philanthropist) in conversation with Prof. Anish Ghosh (Dean, School of Mathematics, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research) on the fascinating relationship between numbers and the natural world. Through an insightful dialogue, Zarina and Prof. Ghosh will uncover how numbers give rise to the harmonious proportions, order and efficiency of nature, including the mysterious Fibonacci sequence, the Golden Ratio and fractals.Session 2: The Beauty of Numbers in Music
Dipti Sanzgiri (Philosopher and the head of Acropolis Music Group) in conversation with acclaimed musician Zubin Balaporia, drum maestro Gino Banks and master percussionist Pandit Aditya Kalyaanpur on tabla, on mathematical foundations of music. Adding a dynamic experiential layer to the evening, the conversations will be accompanied by live demonstrations offering audiences a rare opportunity to witness artistic interpretation and creative process in real time. From Jazz to the Indian Classical Tradition, numbers form the hidden structure of music, allowing the artist the freedom to create countless expressions of beauty.The entire evening will be hosted by Sivan Barzilay (Head of New Acropolis HQ, Mumbai) who will weave the sessions together and add a reflection on the meaningful lessons and insights we can carry with us.
Blending dialogue, performance, and visual expression, the Day of the Arts invites audiences to experience the profound connections between Philosophy, Science and Art.
