Get your week off to a good start with two hours of guided walking in attractive surroundings with pleasant company. The focus is very much on getting to know your fellow walkers, fresh air and gentle exercise.
On these Discover Bristol sessions Steve shares his detailed research on wildlife, history, geography and geology. There is also plenty of time to chat about random stuff that comes up along the way.
Starting out from the Bristol Museum and Art Gallery at the top of Park Street we will set off into Brandon Park and up to Cabot Tower for fine views across the city. We then head over to Royal Fort Gardens where we will admire the art installations and hear the story of Henrietta Lacks and her immortal cells.
We enjoy a coffee in a local café at the end of our Monday morning Random Stuff in Bristol walks. This week we will be visit the Folk Cafe on Park Street.
This is a great opportunity to start your week with a bit of leg stretching and some tongue wagging along the way. Exercise, socialising and learning are three out of the five steps to mental wellbeing.
A Walk in the Past is a friendly group where regulars and newcomers are always welcome. Our aim is to combine a good walk with pleasant company in historic landscapes.
