What we’re about

[IMPORTANT NOTE: Make sure you are using Meetup app to receive instant notifications about our meetups.]
---
WE MEAN TO CLEAN (WMTC) volunteers are a team of self-motivated action-oriented individuals coming from different walks of life. These volunteers believe that keeping our city and country clean isn’t only the responsibility of the government alone but that of citizens like us too!

Moreover, if we have to achieve Swachh Bharat, protect our environment, combat global warming and climate change, we’ll all need to step up and take tangible actions. Hence, we engage in 'shramdaan' or donation of effort on a weekly/ fortnightly basis.

The abbreviation of our name - WMTC - itself has our focus areas!
WM - Waste Management awareness programs and implementation
T - Tree plantation (native only) and maintenance
C - Cleanup Drives - Cleaning a public place that's a victim of open garbage dumping/ open urination/ defecation

Group Rules:
• RSVPing for a meetup is mandatory. An RSVP ‘Yes’ followed by a ‘no show’ would require a reason for the back-out. First instance shall be excusable basis the reason. However, second instance shall lead to immediate termination of membership.
• Attendance at least once a quarter is mandatory. Those unable to maintain this would be removed from the group. Cases related to any personal/ other issues shall be dealt with separately. Members actively contributing in ways other than clean-up drives would be exempted from this.
• Any cases of unsolicited advances towards our female members shall be taken very seriously and such members shall be removed from the group without any prior warning or communication.
