John Deardurff - Query Store

Abstract: This performance tuning feature was introduced in SQL Server 2016 and allows you to record query plans and wait statistics to provide a historical look at the efficiencies or regressions of your queries. In this session, we will provide an overview of the Query Store, how to configure it for your databases, and how to use the built-in reports and dynamic management views.

Bio: John has been a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT) since July 2000 and is currently a Data and AI Customer Engineer for Microsoft, an MCT Regional Lead for the Eastern United States, and a former Data Platform MVP.
