What we’re about
This is a group for anyone interested in digital product design and UI/UX design and development. Beginners to masters, this meetup encourages a community of designers, developers, technologists, makers and anyone interested in making awesome stuff to get together to share and gain knowledge, bolster the tech community here in Jacksonville, and connect with other like-minded people.
When it comes to what design software to use, we focus on using Sketch and the ecosystem of other apps and services built for Sketch. Sketch is probably the best design software for UI/UX, with the biggest community around it. (https://www.sketchapp.com/) But, if Sketch isn't your thing, we don't mind, come along for the ride!
We also cover topics up and down and all around User Interface and User Experience design and development. Everything from best practices, redesign workshops, design thinking, book clubs, sharing war stories, prototyping tools, the latest and greatest plugins and software, Sketch competitors (like Framer X, Invision Studio, Adobe XD...), and showcasing the workflows and design systems of local tech.
This is a great community to get to know other designers and developers in the area, share ideas, learn new things, and do some hands-on workshops. Plus, free food and drink.
