PyData Delhi Meetup #43
Details
Schedule:
Presenting PyData Podcast Series
We're trying a new format for our online meetups. We present you with PyData Podcast Series.
In this series, we'll explore the world beyond the technical side of our guest. Our guest are usually data scientists, machine learning engineers, researchers etc. We usually invite our guest to present/talk on technical topics related to their field of expertise but this time we'll get to know them much better by peeking behind the curtain.
Every individual has something exciting to share about their journey, their mistakes, how do they think, how they manage large teams, what aspect of data science are they involved in, what's the most used tool in their team, their learnings, what's the best way to approach a difficult problem or simply if they want to have a cool and thought-provoking conversation with us!
That's what PyData Podcast Series is going to be!
~GUEST:
For our very first episode, we have Deven Desai as our guest. Interestingly Deven was our first speaker for our very first online meetup back in April 2020. Deven is ex-Planet Labs head of product where he oversaw different product lines. He has experience in remote sensing, application development, distributed computing, data analysis, working with geospatial data. Currently, Deven is head of product @ AtlasAI which was founded in 2018 by a team of Stanford University Professors. AtlasAI measures economic and infra conditions across Africa, informing how capital can be deployed to drive forward economic progress.

Share your Lightning Talks! A "lightning talk" is a quick mini-presentation (5 minutes maximum) on any Python topic you'd like. We'll save time for 2-3 of these each month: to save a spot, post a comment with your talk's title/topic and create an issue at (https://github.com/pydatadelhi/talks/issues) Beginner topics are always welcome!
Presentations: If you'd like to share a topic with the group at an upcoming meetup, propose a talk here (https://github.com/pydatadelhi/talks/issues) :)
