MelbDjango is a community of people interested in all things Django and Django Rest Framework.

MelbDjango & Common Code are inclusive spaces, we ask our guests to treat each other with respect, free from harassment or discrimination and following the Recurse Social Rules when engaging in any coaching capacity. We reserve the right to eject guests who fail to abide by these simple principles.
We encourage patrons to advise MelbDjango/Common Code Organisers or event hosts of unacceptable behaviour in real-time so we may address any issue that arises. For all other feedback and circumstances, you can provide anonymous feedback via this form.
MelbDjango & Common Code reserve the right to use any photograph/video taken at any event sponsored by either party without the expressed written permission of those included within the photograph/video, notwithstanding social media or publications. A person attending an affiliated event who does not wish to have their image recorded for distribution should make their wishes known to the event organizers.

No prior technical knowledge? No worries, beginners are welcome! The workshop starts with a 1hr virtual Install Party on April 18th, followed by the main in-person event on April 20th, where you'll dive into HTML, CSS, Python, and Django, guided by the Django Girls tutorial and our friendly mentors who have great experience in the technology space.
With hands-on mentorship, you'll not only learn to code but connect with experts and like-minded learners. This workshop requires a laptop, so please bring yours or connect with your hosts at melbourne@djangogirls.org to enquire about borrowing a laptop if you do not own one.
