What we’re about

LGBT Ireland is a national non-profit support service for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT+) people, their families and friends living in Ireland.

Register in advance for our Peer Support Groups by clicking here.

You must register in advance for monthly Peer Support Groups, so that we can follow-up with you and send along the necessary details. We are unable to provide peer support to people living outside of Ireland.

LGBT Ireland offers the following online groups every month:

1. First Out for Gay and Bisexual Men is for adult men of all ages who are at the early stages of coming out as gay or bisexual and are struggling with this or men who would just like to connect with their peers who are at a similar stage. The group is facilitated by experienced volunteers but there are no agendas and is member focused. The group meets online from 19.00-21.00 the first Thursday of every month.

2. Married Women is a peer support group for women who are, or have been, in an opposite sex marriage or long term relationship. The peer support group offers a safe space for women to talk openly and confidentially with other women about similar experiences. The group meets on the last Wednesday of each month online from 19.00 - 21.00.

3. Straight Spouses is a peer support group for people who are, or have been, married or in a long term heterosexual relationship with someone who has disclosed that they now identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, or who are questioning their sexuality or gender identity. The peer support group offers a safe space for individuals to talk openly and confidentially with other individuals who are going through a similar experience.

The group meets on the second Tuesday of each month from 7pm-9pm, online and is facilitated by experienced volunteers but there are no agendas and is member focused.
