FLATOUT JAZZ Live at 'The Met' in DTC
Metropolitan Bar & Grill, 10111 Inverness Main Street, Englewood, CO, USFLATOUT JAZZ is BACK! ....
We've reinvented ourselves once again ... now we are appearing as a Jazz Duo, featuring Lou Gott on Guitar and me, Casey Barnett on Sax.
FLATOUT Jazz presents instrumental jazz with a creative vibe. At this show, we'll play a mix of classic jazz tunes from the greats like Miles, Monk, Mobley and more. We’ll add a healthy dose of tunes that people recognize from crossover artists like Herbie Hancock, Grover Washington and Weather Report. We take these familiar tunes on a jazz journey, feeding off each other’s creative energy and sometimes featuring simultaneous improvisation, but we always bring it home … back to the familiar melody we started with. Some people join us on this journey, following every note and nuance, while others just like our sound as a backdrop … either way, people dig our new vibe.
The food and drink offering at 'The Met' is hard to beat, with a great selection at friendly prices. The location (Near I25 and Dry Creek Blvd in DTC) is safe, easy to find and there's plenty of free parking. There's no cover charge at The Met … they just ask you spend a little bit while you are there. This gig provides the perfect opportunity to meet and mingle in a relaxed setting. There’s nothing stuffy about The Met, it’s a modern, open venue with a nice patio. The new FLATOUT JAZZ vibe will create the background for a fun Saturday evening. Come out and treat yourself! Brings some friends or family (yes, it is a family-friendly venue).
Come out and support live jazz … We appreciate your support.

Spaceship Earth Multimedia Presentation Boulder Arts Week!
Junkyard Social Club, 2525 Frontier Ave, Unit A, Boulder, CO, USAre you experiencing Eco Anxiety? Learn simple actions you can take to instead feel empowered!
Join us for Boulder Arts Week and celebrate the 56th Anniversary of Earth Day in this wonderful space that is woman owned and LGBTQ+ friendly at Junkyard Social Club in beautiful Boulder, Colorado!
As a musician and activist, I will be sharing my multimedia presentation with art, photography, science and live music (Laurie D) I created in 2012, Spaceship Earth: What Can I Do? Ask yourself “What can I do?” You can be part of the solution! Have fun learning all kinds of simple acts we can all take to create more sustainable communities and this beautiful planet we share!
Our precious planet is like a spaceship out in space. We only have so much water, air, resources that will NOT be re-supplied! The EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) states that over 40% of our greenhouse emissions come from the way products are extracted, produced, transported, and gotten rid of (even recycling takes energy). They also say that striving for zero waste is one of the easiest and quickest ways to fight climate change!

"Spaceship earth is not really a metaphor: we've got one planet, and it's experiencing unprecedented mechanical difficulties. This presentation helps remind us how we can do our part to get it back on course.” - Bill McKibben best selling author and founder of 350.0rg
"Laurie's "What Can I Do?" Spaceship Earth is powerful!" - Jared Polis - Governor Colorado
"This woman taught me more in an hour performance about what I can do to help save our planet than I've learned in the past 10 years!" - Stacy
