6:15 PM - Arrive & mingle - To enter the Toowong corporate tower wait at Gallery Level (GL) elevators for A&G security or staff volunteers to let you up (GL elevators are the same level and closest to the entrance coming from the Toowong Railway Station in the centre) - Map uploaded to event photos and an older one is available on https://brisjs.org/#findus - Please note, once we start, I don't have a good way to check messages since my phone is used for recordings.

What does it take to render a photo gallery in the browser when that gallery contains over 100,000 photos?
Ashley Davis has jumped through many technical hoops to create a seamless photo gallery with near instant loading of photos from any position in the photo gallery. In this post, learn the variety of techniques required to implement a high performance web page of this nature. There will be some things you might expect and some things that you won’t expect.
During the demonstration we'll see just how many images we can naively load into Chrome before it blows up.

🤖 AI Agents in JavaScript: A Field Report - Kevin Vanderbeken (iamkevinv) - 30min
Since July this year i've been immersed in the space around development of AI Agents and Agentic Capabilities for enterprise. Being JS-first, myself and my small team at the time have been exploring options around how we can develop viable outcomes, available frameworks, maturity issues, and other complications of what we wanted but what we got. This talk is a short overview of this space and how it relates to JS options for making Agents; what we tried, what worked, and what didn't.

The upper and lower car parks in Toowong Village are open until 10:30 at night, leaving plenty of time for you to leave after the event. BrisJS is wheelchair accessible from the taxi rank, car parks, and train station, but please note the train station is only wheelchair accessible via the street after the centre closes at 9pm.
