What we’re about
The purpose of this meet up is to let people learn and teach about Free and Open Source Software in all its varied splendour! We'll be doing talks, demos, and open discussion. Topics - I hope we'll encounter most of these during any given session - can be introduction-to-FOSS related, deeply technical, related to employment, specific software applications, FOSS on Linux, Windows, OS X and elsewhere. It might include installing software for people, and helping them figure out how to use it once it's there, hacking on specific code bases, learning how to make open source contributions, learning how to use developer tools, talking about FOSS licenses, and other stuff. Remember, like FOSS itself, this group is community driven - if people come along and want to do or discuss something, we'll do it!
