ELKHORN KAYAKING + LUNCH

Details
Elkhorn Slough is a magical place to visit (see photo posted). Otters and seals play in the estuary. Native plants and wildflowers pepper the valleys and hills overlooking the water. Hundreds of bird species pass through each year as they migrate up and down the Pacific Flyway.
You can expect to see LOTS of marine life: sea otters, jelly fishes, sand dollars, seals, tons of birds... algae. You will love this place!
Elkhorn Slough is one of the top ten wildlife viewing destinations in North America. The Elkhorn Slough at Moss Landing boasts the largest remaining raft of southern sea otters on the planet. Come paddle with these amazing endangered creatures, as well as sea lions, harbor seals, beautiful floating jellies, and migrating sea birds.

RESTAURANT: TWO CHOICES FOR RESTAURANTS
WOODWARD MARINE MARKET
Causal restaurant, You order in the counter and find a seat. It has views of the harbor and the boats. We have been to Woodward Marine Market three times and we like it but we are interested in trying The Haute Enchilada. Woodward has a pleasant marine view of the boats, the food is good enough, it has a nice fireplace surrounded my octopus arms... (see photos). There is a fish market where you can buy out-of-the-boat fish if we get there before they close (see photos). There are also some exhibits of pre-historic fossils to admire.
HOWEVER, I just learned that they do not longer serve fry calamari and that their fry dishes are much smaller than their usual for the same price. I shall investigate further :)
SEA HARVEST RESTAURANT
Right next to the kayaking place. Very casual restaurant. You oder on the counter and find a seat. You will see this restaurant as we paddle across the slough. Views of the slough and the kayakers. I ate here once and the food was good. And yes... they still serve calamari (YEAH!!!)
