This group is for positive people over age 50 who want to make new friends. There will be a regular schedule of one Sunday brunch or Saturday dinner at a nicer restaurant and one pub night each month. Other one-off events will be scheduled depending on interest and input from the group. Shooting pool, hikes in Fish Creek Park, card games, music festivals are some possibilities. Restaurants meetups will be mainly in the downtown and south Calgary areas.
This group is intended for people who want to make human connections and lasting friendships. It is meant as an escape from the heaviness of day to day life. **Conversations around strong political beliefs are for other groups and are not welcome in this one.**
The cost for members to join this group is a toonie per event. Please bring $2 to each event you attend. The cost to me to use the meetup site is $534/year so this nominal yearly membership fee is to help offset that cost.
