London 20 & 30s Community | The Great Friendship Project

It's landed. Another Sunday and we’ve got your weekend sorted again with another special summer Social Walk and Pub trip, exclusively for 20s and 30s.

For our latest Sunday walk, we’ll be visiting hiking from Vauxhall to Battersea Park, in south-west London.

Before heading off on the hike, as always - you'll be allocated a group for a mix of light-hearted games to help you break the ice and get to know your fellow walkers a little better before we set off.

After the games and once everyone is warmed up for the walk, we’ll set off on our 2–3 hour stroll from Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens, a short walk from Vauxhall Station.

From there, we’ll take a scenic route along the River Thames, enjoying views of the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and the London Eye, before continuing downriver past Battersea Power Station.

We’ll then cross into Battersea Park to explore its beautiful lakes and subtropical gardens, and wander past the famous Peace Pagoda.

As always, we will then finish up at a nearby pub where you can grab a drink, rest your legs and get to know your fellow hikers a bit better.

It should be another great summer afternoon stroll - although, as always, we will be having to cap numbers for this event so do make sure you nab your place as soon as you can!

WHERE/WHEN WE WILL MEET

We don’t do boring Wednesdays and so this week, we’re hugely excited to be hosting yet another new activity night to spice up your midweek.

For this latest social, we’ll be heading for an evening of crazy golf at one of the most popular activity bars in London, Puttshack.

As always - to get the night started, we will be heading nearby pub for a few casual drinks, so you can get to know your fellow 20s and 30s a little better before we head over for the main event of the evening.

If you've never been to Puttshack before, the crazy golf course has a range of weird and wonderful holes for you to test out your skills, as well as fun scoring system and Track-a-Ball technology, so that you don't have to count your scores.

There's also "SuperTubes", "Trivia Holes" and "Hazard Traps" designed to liven up the game the game and provide you with a chance to boost your score, and win prizes!

Best of all, whilst this experience typically would cost £14pp, we've secured an incredible exclusive deal for you, so the whole evening is just £7.35pp!

WHERE/WHEN

We’ve booked out tables from 7:30pm at a nearby pub for some social drinks.

We'd ask that you arrive before 7:55pm, so that we can head over together in time for the start of the golf.

It's here again! On Friday 5th September - we're hugely excited to be once again hosting one of our famous karaoke parties.

Yep that’s right, after a number of requests since our last Karaoke night in May, we'll be heading for another special evening of social drinks and great tunes.

And for this latest Karaoke adventure, we'll once again be heading to the Old School Yard in London Bridge, so you can sing your heart out with plenty of 20s and 30s.

So that you can warm up your singing voice and get to know those you will be singing with later on in the evening a little better, we've booked out a private room at a nearby pub.

When we've had chance to have a few drinks and form our own bands, we'll then head across to the Old School Yard to sing the night away.

Their karaoke rooms offer a number of microphones and thousands of songs from which to choose, from pop classics, to famous dance anthems.

So there'll be plenty for you to sing along to, as well as plenty of 20s and 30s to make the night memorable.

Best of all, the first places for the party are completely free for those who RSVP quick enough!

Singers of all standards are welcome, whether you're tone deaf or a professional performer, we’d love to have you join us for what is sure to be a really enjoyable night.

Back by popular demand, we’re excited to be hosting our Nashville Hoedown Bottomless Brunch on Sunday 7th September.

Yep that's right, as a bit of a change from our usual Sunday schedule - we'll be visiting Coyote Ugly in Camden for a very special Nashville Hoedown themed, Bottomless Brunch.

If you’ve never been to one of their venues before, it is famous for its live tabletop dancers, US country themes and a party atmosphere, inspired by the 2000 film, Coyote Ugly.

You’ll get 90 minutes of unlimited prosecco or pints, plus your choice of main dish from a menu featuring waffles, New York–style toasted bagels, chicken wings, burgers, or nachos.

Throughout the afternoon, you can expect a true Nashville Hoedown soundtrack - packed with some of the very best country music anthems.
