What we’re about
We're a group of local WordPress developers, designers, and publishers who get together to share our knowledge and experience, and to meet other WordPress users in the area. The WordPress meetup is open to all who love WordPress --- join us!
If you'd like to chat with other Canadian WordPress people, including Hamilton, make sure you join our WordPress Canada Slack team: https://wpslack.ca. It's open to everyone, so come on out! If you want to talk to other members in our Hamilton community, join the #wpYHM channel. We're also developing our very own website, https://wphamont.ca, where we hope to curate all the wonderful talks we've seen and maybe more! If you'd like to contribute, please contact one of the organizers.
We're currently part of the #OnlineWPMeetup community while we run our meetups online for the foreseeable future.
WordPress Global Community Sponsors help fund WordPress Meetup groups and WordCamps around the world. Thank you to WordPress.com, WooCommerce, Jetpack, Bluehost, and A2 Hosting for their support!

Long time no see!
It was a busy year last year with my leading the organizing team for WordCamp Canada, but a recent meetup at WordPress London, Ontario got me inspired to write to you today.
I think the best thing to do is get together and we'd like to know what you want to learn or hear about. Bring your ideas and we'll schedule out and find the people you want to hear. More developer stuff? More beginner stuff? More...? If it helps, there's a post that I did on my own site a while back (before we had wphamont.com) where it shows what I was thinking of doing: https://shanta.ca/wordpress-hamilton-planning-meeting-minutes/.
This meetup is for EVERYONE, beginners, developers, advanced, business owners and personal site owners. You'd be surprised how you can contribute. This is a community effort!
In addition, thanks to Kiera Howe and DragonTeach, for those that need a playground or test WordPress website, you can register for one here: https://shanta.dragonteach.com/ Feel free to register before the event, and while we may not need them during the meeting, it gives everyone a chance to practice and learn over the summer. The account is even valid until after WordCamp Canada!
We're always looking for help in organizing the meetup, whether it's doing the wrap up post, editing, social media, web design, hosting or speaking.
I'll try to then post a wrap-up. Can't wait until then? Join us on our WordPress Canada Slack Team: http://wpslack.ca. There's even a channel just for us: #wpyhm
A big thank you to CoMotion on King for letting us hold our meetup here once again in person.
