The core software, plugins and themes is developed by a community volunteers, in Israel and throughout the world. Over 60 million people have chosen WordPress to power the place on the web they call “home”. Whether you’re a budding developer, a pixel-perfect designer, or just like helping out, we’d love you to join the WordPress Israel family, a family that supports one another with events, meetups, code labs, word camps, coaching, guidance, mentoring, outreach, trainings, workshops, networking and support.
WordPress-Israel includes teams and groups that work together to share ideas, organize and facilitate events and contribute to the ongoing development of Word-Press.
WordPress Israel Documentation and Training Team
The WordPress Israel Documentation and Training Team, is responsible for creating documentation and is always on the look-out for kick-ass writers. They create downloadable lesson plans and related materials for instructors to use in a live workshop environment, and help facilitate workshops and code labs.
The Wordpress Israel Plugin Team keep ups with the latest updates, find resources, and shares the latest info about any issues around Plugin development. They act as gate-keepers and fresh eyes on newly submitted plugins, as well as reviewing any reported security or guideline violations.
The WordPress Israel Theme Team engages and educates the WordPress Theme community regarding best practices for themes. They review and approve themes submitted to be included in the official WordPress Israel Theme directory. The Theme team helps to maintain the official Theme Review Requirements, the Theme Unit Test Data, and the Theme Check Plugin.
The Wordpress Israel Polygot Team translates everything WordPress into numerous languages, focusing on the official and immigrant languages used in the middle east.
The WordPress Israel Support Team answers questions and deals with numerous issues in providing support to wordpress developed and users
The WordPress Israel A11Y Team, leads the Web to its full potential to be accessible, enabling people with disabilities to participate equally on the Web.
WordPress Israel Mobile-SmartPhone-Wearable Team
The WordPress Israel Mobile-SmartPhone-Wearable Team, includes Object Oriented Java, Objective-C, C# 'ers and designers, UX experts that develop, build and test iOS, Android, Windows, Blackberry and Wearable apps.
The WordPress Israel Design Group is focused on the designing and developing the user interface and user experience of WordPress. It’s a home for designers and UXers alike.
The WordPress Israel Core Team helps to make WordPress. Whether you’re a seasoned PHP developer or are just learning to code, we’d love to have you on board. You can write code, fix bugs, debate decisions, and help with development.
WordPress Israel Flow-Quality Assurance (QA) Team
The WordPress Israel Flow-Quality Assurance (QA) Team monitors the flow across the entire WordPress ecosystem on every possible device, operating system and browser. The team test, documents, and report on the user experience. Through continuous dogfooding/working out the kinks/glitches and visual records, the team's objective is to understand not only what is wrong, but also what is right while immersing themselves in the context of what fellow word pressers aree making and champion user experience. The team focuses on preventing mistakes or defects in wordpress themes/plugins/apps and avoiding problems when delivering solutions or services to end users.
