What we’re about
Welcome to a new book club for women in Nanaimo (and surrounding areas).
Are you craving meaningful conversations with open-hearted, thoughtful women aged 35(ish)+ ?
We’re a small group of women who meet regularly to talk about nonfiction books across genres, perspectives, and life experiences. If you’re curious, kind, and love a good deep chat (with some laughs in between), this group is for you.
What we read:
We explore books that spark real conversations—memoirs, feminism, current issues, creativity, identity, leadership, life transitions, and anything else you’re interested in. The kind of books that give you something to chew on. Note: You DON'T need to like the book. In fact, it could be fun if some of us liked it/aspects of it, and some don't.
The vibe:
Reflective, friendly, laughter, openness—and a little spicy. If that sounds like your cup of tea (or glass of wine), you’re welcome.
When & where:
We meet once every 1-2 months over coffee, brunch, backyards, or picnics.
Important note:
We are inclusive of all backgrounds and experiences—except intolerance.
If you’re open to diverse voices and ideas, and being gentle and holding space for different perspectives, you’ll fit right in. If you’re not cool with that, this probably isn’t your group.
LGBTQ+ welcome.
