What we’re about

This group includes 2 components: an in-person meetup & community in Portland, Oregon, and then we have the Ill Witches, a virtual coven for disabled, neurodivergent, and chronically ill peeps.

This group requires emotional labor and craft supplies <3 Consider supporting us!
Our wishlist and how to donate or support our instructors:

It's like witchy scouts for grownups! Learn witchy skills together through workshops, make friends with magical peeps, and work on healing projects in our community. Like a fun supportive coven!

This group is for women and nonbinary peeps (no gender explanation needed, truly, but this is a space that prioritizes the healing and voices of women and enbies.)

All magical paths and identities welcome. Beginners always welcome; only a few events may be labeled 'intermediate' or 'part two'

Types of events:

- educational (tarot, astrology, herbal medicine, energy healing, queer magic)
- rituals and circles (moon circle, healing circles, nature mandalas)
- mutual aid projects (meals for free fridges, volunteer together, pick up trash)
- social! (tea parties, book club, seasonal outings, nature walks)
- magical kid events
- DIY & art magic / crafting hang-outs / tutorials

Payment information: It is free to join the meetup group, though we so appreciate donations. Events will list a sliding scale price or explicitly celebrate that they are free/by donation. Each instructor accepts cash and venmo - more payment options may be listed.

BIPOC pricing: Many events are free/by donation for BIPOC in an effort to acknowledge that magical knowledges are rooted in the wisdoms of BIPOC, and many of these knowledges are now behind paid walls, systemically limiting access to BIPOC.
* Novie's classes with no supplies are free to BIPOC. Novie's workshops with art supplies are 1/2 price (paying for supplies but not the course itself.)
