CX First vs. Technology First in the Age of Generative AI

In 1997, Steve Jobs said: “You have to start with the customer experience and work back to the technology, not the other way around.” In 2025 we are flooded with AI-driven initiatives in enterprise and product design — often led by the demand to “add AI somehow,” regardless of whether it improves the user experience.
In this talk I try to explore the tension between habit-forming technology and true customer value. Would Steve, known for putting experience above all else, embrace AI today? Or would he warn us against chasing the hype? We’ll look at why AI feels so powerful through Nir Eyal’s Hook Model (trigger, action, variable reward, investment) — and why this makes AI habits both inevitable and risky.
Expect stories from enterprise projects, a practical UX framework to separate hype from value, and one big question to take home:
How do we design AI not as a checkbox, but as a meaningful habit?

Culture-Led Experience Design

In this talk, Angeliki invites you to view the actual end-user’s experience beyond the UX craft itself, but as a collection of impressions, opinions and feelings shaped by the direct or indirect interaction with a company. From this perspective, we are no more experience creators, than the marketing colleagues or the customer support team, yet we are rarely working together with them. To create a cohesive experience, our work/design/service output cannot just be synced through shared brand assets and CI documents. We need to create an internal culture and be steeped in it. Angeliki provides examples of how culture inspires great design output and vice versa and opens a discussion about possible futures for UX, not only based in laborious, tool-specific work, but in more holistic and collaborative approaches.
