What we’re about

We love functional programming, aka FP! We get together to learn more about good functional code, functional programming languages, and their innovations. You'll find learners and users of Haskell, Lisps like Clojure and Racket, Scala, F#, and more.

We welcome everyone with an interest in writing less code that does more, i.e. FP. Our events are often accessible to FP newcomers while still being interesting to FP veterans. Besides reaching out and sharing experiences with other functional fans, we also promote functional programming paradigms to folks unfamiliar with the FP paradigm - if you're in the imperative/OO world, we'll convince you that mutable data is usually a terrible idea. :)
