What we’re about

Veganism is a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude—as far as is possible and practicable—all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose; and by extension, promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives for the benefit of animals, humans and the environment. In dietary terms it denotes the practice of dispensing with all products derived wholly or partly from animals

We are a point of entry for those curious about or new to veganism; as well as a place for those already vegan to gather.  Those that are serious about learning and transitioning to veganism while respecting the group are welcome. We realize every vegan journey starts somewhere so we strive to be helpful and friendly.
The group meets for various reasons to support our goals. During the past year we have dined out, performed clean ups, performed activism, education events, met for potlucks and more. Once joined the requirements of members are respectful safe conduct with members, consumption and use of only vegan items when meeting. Join us and make new friends!
We look forward to meeting you!
Sincerely,

Asheville Vegan Society
