About us
What is Swift?
Swift is a modern programming language that is fast, safe and interactive.Swift is a powerful and intuitive programming language for iOS, OS X, tvOS, and watchOS. Writing Swift code is interactive and fun, the syntax is concise yet expressive, and apps run lightning-fast. Swift is ready for your next project — or addition into your current app — because Swift code works side-by-side with Objective-C.
Swift is open-source-Swift is developed in the open at Swift.org, with source code, a bug tracker, mailing lists, and regular development builds available for everyone. The broad community of developers, both inside and outside of Apple, are working together to make Swift even more amazing. Swift already has support for all Apple platforms as well as Linux, with new platforms to come.
The goal of the Swift group is to create the best available language for users ranging from systems programming, to mobile and desktop apps, scaling up to cloud services.
What is this group about?
This group is for developers working on Apple platform (iOS/ Mac OS) as well as the ones who are using swift to develop cloud and server applications or willing to learn so. We would meet once a month, to learn from the expert speakers and share knowledge, in an informal, discussion format.
The sessions would start with some teasers for beginners and provide enough and more pointers to the right resources to learn everything about Swift and the latest developments in swift. The expert speakers would share their knowledge, help you with swift hacks and answer your queries thereafter.
Enigmatic, self driven and filled with mojo, Swift is an exciting new arena willing and able to revolutionise the programming world but the reiterated question we keep hearing everyone ask is: Have you switched?
If you haven’t found an answer to that yet, Swift Bengaluru is the place to be. If you have the answer, come share it with us. If you are interested in presenting at a future meetup, please send-in your nominations by messaging me.
Our Mission:
Introduce and educate people about swift and it's applications. Meet at least once a month, share ideas and knowledge about various use cases of swift.
Feel free to ask questions on the group, start a topic, get things going!
If you feel that you need a meetup on a particular topic, go ahead and ask us!
Our Vision:
To become India's #1 Swift Developer’s Community.
