It is not necessary to bring a laptop, since it's not expected for you follow along, but if you attend, you can request that the files be sent to you, afterwards. They usually meet on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, at 6:00 PM, in Manhattan.

Programming language agnostic! They meet ever other Wednesday. They read from a book called Cracking the Coding Interview. Although it's not required to have the book, it's helpful. When you arrive, they will ask everyone to breakout into groups by language preference.
