What we’re about
Welcome! I'm so glad you found us... Welcome to our community. Our group is alive and well and growing by leaps and bounds. We host both online and live events, mostly but not exclusively in the Orange County area.
As of 2022, I am leading transformational groups to Greece in September and once in Costa Rica in June. Please check out my travel website at lesbiangetaways.com for trip info. I would love it if you joined the mailing list. This separates out our special announcements from all the other meetup emails which can be overwhelming at times. The occasional emails will come from Lesbian Getaways.
I have been so touched by the intimacy and connections that are being created ongoingly through our group interactions. Lots of close friendships and circles have been made and yes, even some romance! I try to mix it up and keep it interesting and I’m always open to new ideas and feedback. My commitment to every member is that there are no "outsiders" and all folks that identify as a woman loving women are welcome. I believe that the experience of feeling welcome and included is palpable in our group events whether live or on Zoom.
For FB users, please follow us (facebook.com/somanywomensolittletime/). If you would like to be part of our secret FB group or our So Cal Lesbian Pickleballers group, please email me at lesbiangetaways@gmail.com and let me know. Once in, you can invite your friends directly from there.
I ask that you please set your notifications at minimum to receive organizer messages and new event announcements. This has to be done while actually on our group site. You can find the settings by clicking on your round profile photo on the top right corner and select email and notifications.
I am so looking forward to meeting you whether it be online or in person when that time comes.
With Enthusiasm,
Your organizer, Jody

You gotta LOVE the Chance Theater! I am constantly surprised I am right here in Anaheim Hills watching plays because they feel like they are Broadway quality in every way.
We'll meet in the theater lobby at 2:45 for introductions and then sit in our reserved section. Every seat is a good one at this theater.
I am holding 20 seats for the first 20 that RSVP here AND purchase their ticket on the events page of LesbianGetaways.com. Our group price is $42 which includes a small fee from the theater and another small fee from my card processor. The regular price would be $58. If you don't care about sitting with us, feel free to purchase directly from the Chance Theater by clicking here.
If you enjoy theater and want to make it a habit, please consider becoming a member! It's a great deal because for $15/month, you will have a free ticket to 7 shows and 5 readings for an entire season. Do the math. It's a steal since each individual play is about $50 give or take. There are a bunch of us that are now members so we now have a club!

•OnlineLet's Read.. Looking for a Sign
OnlineHello book lovers! Let’s read and discuss – **Looking for a Sign, by Susie Dumond. “**A sweet and spicy story about found family, taking chances on love, and getting through your Saturn return.”—Elissa Sussman, bestselling author of Funny You Should Ask
A newly single queer woman moves to New Orleans and sets off on a mission to find her most compatible match by going on a date with someone of each astrological sign in this rom-com from the Lambda Literary Award–nominated author of Queerly Beloved.
Reeling from a breakup with her long-term partner, Gray—an optimistic lesbian Aries—relocates to New Orleans for a new job. Gray wants to meet someone, settle down, and build the loving, accepting family she’s always wanted, but having been out of the dating scene for a decade, she has no idea where to start. After visiting an iconic astrologer, Gray and her best friend, Cherry, draw up a dramatic scheme: Gray will go on a date with someone of each zodiac sign to test their compatibility and get a jump start on creating the queer family of her dreams—all before her twenty-ninth birthday, when Saturn will usher in a major turning point in her life.
Gray’s got her hands full getting to know her new city, proving herself at her new job, wooing twelve new paramours—cue bathroom hookups, ghosts, getting ghosted, incredible macchiatos, and celesbians—and making some surprising discoveries about her needs and desires. Even when the dating challenge throws a few curveballs that make Gray question what she believes that she’s destined for, she’s determined to finish what she’s started while the planets are still on her side.
336 pages. (10 hours and 29 minutes on audio.) Plan accordingly.
A little read during Mercury Retrograde.… Jo Jo 😊
NOTES FOR MEETING
Please be prompt, at 6:30 pm Pacific, and plan to stay until we close out as a group or at 8:00 pm Pacific. We open with a short icebreaker within a few minutes of the start time, which is great for getting to know one another better. Arriving late or leaving early “individually” can distract the group discussion, so arriving on time and staying until 8:00 pm Pacific, is appreciated. We do occasionally stay later but if you need to bow out then, no worries. And…we could finish early. (Early has not happened, but I am just saying it could. Lol.)
* It is a social event so please have your video ON. It is also for transparency and peace of mind for all our members in this Zoom world.
WHERE: Zoom - Attendees will receive a private link and password on the day of the event. I will post a comment when I have sent it. Please do not share or post the link or your password.
Make sure your Meet Up notification setting for email is on for this group. (If you saw this book discussion announced via email, your setting is on. ;))
WHAT TO BRING
Bring your sweet self, any notes you want to share, and your favorite beverage. :)
- YES RSVPs, if you can't make it, please take a moment to change your RSVP to NOT GOING asap. It is just a courteous thing to do. :)
** If you are new to Zoom, watch this video. Make sure to watch the video to the end. (A little over 5 minutes.) A senior does a great job of showing the various items you will want to know about. It is easy! Really. https://youtu.be/kh50kVaIdAY12 attendees
