What we’re about
Snohomish County makers seeking like-minded for shared skills, equipment, projects.
We are looking for new and used (skilled, ha-ha) makers to join us putting on workshops, social events, and sharing workshop time. We have interests in electronics, programming, robotics, microcontrollers, 3D printing, laser cutters (additive and subtractive technologies), arts, molding, casting, routing, and woodworking. We have a great space in South Everett a stones throw from Boeing with super easy access for drivers and bus riders alike. Join us at an open house and bring a friend!
*** Requesting to join our meetup group? Make sure you are obviously part of the local area (members of other area groups, a photo, OR something that says “hey I’m not a robot”... at a minimum be a little chatty in the join question. We get a lot of attempted spammers requesting a join and decline people from out of the area***
Our website is http://www.snocomakers.org and if you need some technical help or conversation join us at our facebook group page: https://www.facebook.com/groups/10576893376...
We hope you will consider membership for access outside workshops! If you feel like you'd qualify for a scholarship membership please contact any board member or officer. We will put the tools in your hands and show you how to use them.

Your RSVP here on Meetup lets you receive any potential updates - but your spot is not secure unless you register at the link above. You can also choose to pay online during registration, or you may bring your payment to class.Do students need to bring any supplies?
- Note taking supplies are encouraged, but not required.
- Project materials will be provided.
What should students wear?
- Required: Closed toed shoes.
- Required: Long hair must be secured.
- Required: No loose clothing or jewelry.
- Strongly Recommended: Long Pants (that go over the tops of shoes).
- Strongly Recommended: Closed front shirts. V-neck and front button up shirts can let sawdust in. Short or 3/4 sleeves are best, some long sleeves can be rolled up and that's fine.)
What about Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)?
- Required: Eye safety. The shop does have face shields that students will use when actually turning, and regular safety glasses are always a good choice in a shop all the time!
- Required: Hearing protection. Ear plugs are best. Ear muffs may interfere with face shield operation. Turning is noisy but not as not as much as other woodshop machines.
- Strongly Recommended: Dust mask.
Again, there is a limit of 2 students per session. Please save your spot using this link:
