About us
Welcome to Sketchy Collective!
We’re building a creative community where people can meet, share ideas, and make things together.
Right now, we host weekly drawing meetups in Helsinki (Finland) and Ha Noi (Vietnam). From time to time, we also pop up in other cities.
(Note to our Sketchers from Ha Noi: drawing meetups in Ha Noi are held on Sundays at 15:00 your local time GMT+7. The international group is based in Helsinki and operates in a different time zone, so the meetup time you see may sometimes be incorrect.)
As our community grows, we’re aiming to expand not just to new locations but also into different kinds of creative meetups - from new drawing formats to collaborative projects beyond drawing (such as crafts, theater or music).
In May 2026, we’re heading to Sarajevo to organize drawing meetups, along with another project focused on crafts and repairing/customizing outdoor gear together (meetup.com/bushcraft-repair). First events in Sarajevo are already announced (find them on the events list below). Location will be added soon.
How our drawing meetups work
At each meetup, we take turns being the model for a quick 10-minute sketch. One person poses, everyone else draws, then we switch. Easy, low-pressure, and fun.

How to find us

Occasionally, we make last-minute changes (for example, if our café is closed or too busy), so it’s better to stay updated.

How does it work
At each meetup, participants take turns posing for a quick 10-minute sketch session. One person poses, everyone else sketches, then we rotate.
There are no fees and no pressure (just please order something from the café). The only thing we ask is that everyone takes a turn posing for the group. Sit however you’re comfortable — those 10 minutes fly by!Draw as much as you like, skip a round if you’d rather rest or chat, and stay for as long as it suits you. The session goes on as long as people are enjoying themselves.

We use two communication channels: the Facebook group mentioned above and a WhatsApp group. You can join the Facebook group right away.
For the WhatsApp group, we have one simple rule: you need to attend at least one meetup before joining. Since joining WhatsApp requires sharing your phone number, we’re a bit more careful about preventing spam and unwanted advertising.Here’s the link to request access:
