What we’re about
Ready to take your road cycling skills and fitness to the next level, maybe train for a big ride? Want to meet people and learn new routes? Tired of riding alone and want the camaraderie of like-minded souls?
We might be just the right group for you! Some of us ride pretty fast, others...eh, not so much. We’re happy to share the ways of the road, from climbing hills to riding safely in a group. Our rides might challenge you, (or not!) but we’ll never drop you and leave you for dead. We look out for our own, it’s the BoB way.
In the winter the ride offerings get a little sparse, but that changes with the weather, so please keep an eye on the calendar and subscribe to email notifications. If you don’t see the rides you want, message me and I'll work on it. Think you might want to share your skills and lead rides? Yay! Get in touch. Just be aware that a certain level of experience is required.
Here are the basics: RSVP so the Ride Leaders know that you are coming and CANCEL if you change your mind; we don’t like no-shows. Arrive at least 15 minutes before the ride starts. If the group is ready to roll on time, it will do just that. Have the right size spare tube and pump to take with you on the ride even if you don't know how to use them. Contact me if you have questions about equipment
Make sure to have the ride leader’s contact info with you. It could help if you have a problem on the road.
Finally, fully read the ride descriptions! We have a truth in advertising policy: what you see is just what you’ll get. Call or email the Ride Leader before the ride if you have questions or concerns.
We are here to help make it fun!

See all- A Blooming Good Ride 36mi/2000 or 45mi/2650Farmington Paddle Launch, Hillsboro, OR
Hoping for blooming good weather!
Start at Farmington Paddle Launch, wheels roll at 10:30am.Riedweg, Gaston, Blooming, Iowa Hill, maybe Holly. A couple of variable distances for these newly designed routes which avoid the Scholls traffic entirely.
We'll start on the gently ascending flats before ascending the rollers up Riedweg. Then we'll continue over to Gaston via Blooming Fern Hill (the easier way), before galloping back across the flats and looping back up Iowa Hill, rewarded by the sweet descent down Unger.
***Without Holly Hill: ***https://ridewithgps.com/routes/45917772Possible extension to include Holly Hill (10 miles, 650' more) for anyone who wants to have more fun:
***Full Route: ***https://ridewithgps.com/routes/45917811Ride will proceed with flexibility for weather, group, mechanical concerns. If needed, possible water/bathroom stop at the general store in Gaston.
Level: Speedy Intermediate. Not a beginner ride. Nor is it a racing ride. You should have some good climbing rides at a steady pace under your belt.
12.5-16 mph average pace for this no-drop ride (your average pace for flatter rides should be more than this). We'll regroup at the top of hills and a couple of other places. Climb at your own pace. Bring a layer for fun times cruising down. Guidelines for this ride are: safety, flexibility, communication.
Everyone must have a copy of the route on their device, printed out, or in their head. If you decide to give it a try and maybe cut out early you need to be able to find your way back to the start.
You'll enjoy this ride if: you enjoy speeding along on the flats interspersed with short climbs, scenic vistas, and want to still have time to do other things later in the day. Or, you want to train or stay in shape for harder rides.
Ride leader: Jenny Stoffel
